​Joey - Teaches Piano, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Double Bass & Violin
Joey is a passionate music educator and versatile musician whose journey began with the upright bass in middle school. They then attended a performing arts high school where they studied in both the classical and jazz conservatories. From there, they went to Loyola University of New Orleans, where they earned a BA in Music, with a focus in Music Education and Jazz Bass.
Joey's musical journey includes performing with orchestras, jazz bands, indie bands, and as a singer/songwriter. They have teaching experience from working at studios like Music & Arts and Bach to Rock, and have also taught with the Dallas Symphony Association’s Young Musicians program.
Joey believes deeply in the transformative power of music as a universal language and means of expression. Emphasizing kindness, empathy, and effective communication in teaching, they embrace all musical genres and tailor lessons to each student's unique learning style.
Whether starting out or aiming to refine skills across genres, Joey is dedicated to making music a joyful and accessible experience for all students.
